Out and About

Okay I reckon that I at least should do a proper blog post, albeit a long overdue one.

Well basically at least some photo updates since I have not been posting my photos and you've got to put a face to a blog right?

So here it is.

And What A Face!

Anyway,

Mr. Wonderful and I went for a proper date (finally). You know sex lunch and and movie. Pretty boring stuff, unless if we really had sex. Then it'll be good. Lol!

We had lunch at Aston's. (Same boring)

And then we took bites out of each other's lunch.

And while waiting for our order, we took photos! (Fun!)

And here is Mr. Wonderful modelling the scarf I made. Crazy right? I mean making a scarf, a thick one when Singapore is a tropical island.
Now if only I finished it in time before Janice went off to Finland. I could have given it to her where it'll be much more useful.

After lunch we went to watch the legend of Chen Zhen. (Boring)
Story line pretty much the same as Ip Man. Reluctant hero forced to be a hero due to the fact that a good friend died and want's justice. Fights evil Japanese Major and won.

Only the action scene in the beginning while at France was awesome. Other than that, pretty repetitive of what Donnie Yen does in all his martial arts movie.
Oh and what's up with the monkey noises in the final fight scene? Totally throws me off. He doesn't make funny monkey sounds in the earlier fights and now he suddenly does??

I'd say, Donnie Yen should just stick to acting.
Not really cut out to be an Action Director.

I would have made out with Mr. Wonderful but an old man in front of me keeps imagining that I kicked his damn seat. If I were to kick I'd be resting my feet on his bald pate.

So that's for now.

(sigh, I'm in a very cranky mood and I'm sorry.. actually I'm not sorry but I will be once I'm done being cranky)

Phew, Almost never made it for this week's post.

Today's my mum's birthday you see so I've been busy in the kitchen.

1. Doesn't that cookie looks delicious! I think I shall make it with the recipe found here!

2. I'm obsessed with this game!

Yes I know another Zombie game. This however is on par with Plants vs Zombies. (PS: Check out Office Wars too!)

3. One of my favourite haunts! Cut Out + Keep! Lots of cute and crafty stuff to be inspired by and do!

Looking back

A friend posted an old photo of us taken a few years back at my church's Christmas Dinner and Dance.

And I'm like wow.

I used to be skinny.

I want to be that skinny again!

Well I know who to blame for my plumpness.

Thank Goodness for Five Things Wednesday! Or else I won't have a single blog post at all this week (altho I do have something in mind)

1. I came across a website called Cute Overload and this video is so cute!

2. Do you always lose at Scissors Paper Stone?? Well here's an awesome flowchart that tells you how to win at Scissors Paper Stone.

Apparently there's a Rock Paper Scissors competition and I marvel at the fact that someone actually researched this not totally useless information.

3. I love bangs! You know, hair? fringe? I can't wait till my messed up bangs grow out so I can properly get it cut and style it in these 4 easy styles! I especially love the 70's look.

4. I love Lost at E Minor! They always feature the coolest stuff, from photography, illustration, fashion to funny websites and quirky products. I can spend days just trawling through their site but this is my favourite so far.

5. Tumblr is an awesome source of memes. and I found a list of words that doesn't exist in the english language. Like  this word Gheegle (or gigil in proper spelling) from my mother tongue, tagalog. It means the urge to pinch or squeeze something that is unbearably cute. 

Like Mr. Wonderful. :D

Do you know any other words that doesn't exist in the English language?

So that's for this Wednesday's Five Things! :D On another note, Mr. Wonderful is planning my 21st birthday party! And I'm going to give a very big hint of what I want tomorrow. Hee!

Ahem. Anyway, here are Five Things I've found here and there (mostly on the net) and loved.

Since we're still in the grips of Formula 1 Singapore Singtel Grand Prix, do you know who's the greatest F1 pilot ever? Its Senna. No no Not Bruno Senna, its Ayrton Senna.

And I everyone should know the man who lived and died in the tracts and how the the racing world lost a legend.

I think this marketing campaign by Ben Sherman is the craziest ever. If a shop in Singapore ever pulled a stunt like this, would we get the same reaction? Or are Singaporeans too aware of the consequences if caught? What do you think? (via: clzover)

Ever since the frisbee competition where my team won Pepperidge Cookies, I can't get enough of them! They're not tiny like Famous Amos or too sweet like Subway Cookies. They're perfect.

I need to know where to get them! Any ideas?

Do you play Frisbee??

One of my favourite team sport is Ultimate Frisbee followed by Netball/Captain's Ball. Well two weeks ago on a hot Saturday morning, the youths in my church organized an Ultimate Frisbee Competition and its into its 2nd year.

I of course, played for the team from my church group, the Legio Maria Auxilium Christianorum Jr Praesidium. It sounds awesome in Latin yes? :D)

Ultimate Frisbee is a bit like Captain's Ball. Except more twisted. For one, if you drop the Frisbee or your team mate doesn't catch it, it goes to the other team. Meaning teamwork, technique and attention to the game is super duper important.

You score when your team catches the disc within the rectangular goal zone at the ends of the field.

And when you score, your team stays within that zone while the opposing team goes to the opposite end. So if you score a lot, no energy wasted jogging to the other end.

That kinda pretty much sums it up. How the game is played depends on the organizers. We played for 15 points or end match at 45 minutes. Which was madness!

If you want to know more, strangely Mindef has rules of play. (My theory is that they introduced the game to NSFs, Mr Wonderful's Major in the Air Force is in a league)

And Singapore has an association for Ulitmate Frisbee!

They have something called pick up games, so you can join a team.

Anyway that day was so clear and bright, we were getting dehydrated and burned. D: The best way to keep the team going was to constantly substitute players. Especially when you a team that's evenly matched.

First match, we trounced our juniors but they held out pretty well :D

Second match was crazy intense. Some of our players left so we only had 1 sub and we tired out pretty quickly. But we held out for 45 minutes. We don't want them scoring 15 points although they were close. Heh.

We rested and tried to cool down despite having no shelter from the sweltering heat,

Oh and my team placed 2nd! Which is awesome because last year we didn't place at all.

And we got..

Pepperidge Farm Cookies!
