19/52 - Kitty Kat Ears!

Week 19 Kitty Kat Ears

I am Childish.

Or to put it in a better word. Child-like, whimsical and impulsive.

First was the finger puppets I bought from IKEA.

And now Kitty Ears Headband from Daiso.

They have it in white but I thought I'd look better with black kitty ears. Oh and they had bunny ears! But Kitty Kat Ears are way much cuter no??

Kitty

I wore it around the Plaza Singapura when I first bought it but I took it off cos Mr. Wonderful didn't feel comfortable with people staring at me. D: Such a spoilt sport.

18/52 - My baby sister

Week 18 - My Sister
Meet my sister.

She's cute, she's cuddly and she's loves hugging me!

She's also manipulative, hates homework and will try anything to stay home instead of going to school.

She's only 8.

I wouldn't really consider her the princess of the family cos she'd rather play with bakugans then my old barbie dolls but she is loved.

I originally bought those finger puppets from IKEA for myself. (Don't ask why! I just found them irresistable and cute and I wanted to play with them)

Apparently she's convinced me that they're hers now.

Taking her photos are fun!

week 18 Outtake 1

week 18 Outtake 2

See! And we had fun playing with the puppets as well!

Week 16 - Cluedo!!

Week 16 - Cluedo

School has started! :D

And for third years students, we seem to be quite free.

Last year it was Wii Rayman's Raving Rabid and this semester's hot game to pass the time is Cluedo!!

Its a damn awesome game AND it looks like The Lepak Club is active again!

15/52 - My Feet

Week 15 - My Feet

I have ugly feet.

They're my most neglected body part. I don't take care of them enough.

I really should start appreciating it more like bringing them for massages, a proper pedicure and applying tons of potions and lotions to make it look pretty.

And yes its coated with purple glitter nail polish.

Sparkly Nails

See even my finger nails are coated with purple glitter nail polish. (Yes I know, I can't apply nail polish for nuts but I'm kinda hoping its mesmerizing glitter-iness will distract people from my messy application)
My baby sister is even mesmerised by it. She took a look at them said,

"Pweety... Shiinnyy!"

I figured that since once you reach a certain age, you can't wear shiny purple glitter nail polish anymore with looking like you're trying to be younger than your age. It'll only work if you're a tween, a getai singer or Madonna.

Being almost 21 is still OKKAY to wear them!

Besides, I feel like I'm 15 again. I'm trying to recapture my youth. I was too busy studying to enjoy being girly.

Week 14 - Grey Skies

Has it already been 14 weeks??
Wow. I'm surprised that I've been doing nicely for my Project 52.

The weather's been unpredictable lately. The forcast promised cloudy but the grey skies broke open and there was a downpour, leaving me stuck at Borders.

Not that I mind much. It seems as if the weather's been reflecting my unpredictable mood lately.

Oh well. In other news, Mr. Wonderful on heavy medication freaks me out! He's so stoned on them, it was as if he had this personality trnasplant.

He told me he wanted to make Batman's utility belt for himself.

13/52 - Keep The Faith

I had a hard time choosing my photo for this week because I took lots of photos and they were all so awesome and I want all of them to be my photo of the week but there could only be one. >.<

But figuring it was the holy week, a week I like to think of this week as the test of faith and I decided upon this photograph I took at an alleyway behind one of those colonial shophouses.

Week 13 - Keep The Faith

I of course processed the photo in photoshop and I love how it turned out.
This by far is one of my favourite.

And to give a bit of depth to this story, I'll tell you how I chance upon this grafitti and why I think it was put there.

I was actually at Little India that day, buying my favourite sweet, jelebi and I heard there was some alleyway cafe at Selegie Rd there so I decided to check it cos it sound so cool and fun to go to a cafe where only certain people can find it. Hehe.

When I went there, unfortunately it was closed.

I figured since I was there why not walk along it towards The Cathay cos I didn't want to make one big round to go the main road, what I didn't know was, it was a dead end. O.o

Sigh. but I came upon the graffiti!!

I of course took a photo. My camera's my best friend now. hehe.

Then I kinda realised something,

I saw couples walking through that same alleyway, thinking, this alleyway's a dead end.

I looked at the buildings opposite the graffiti, and guess what I saw??

Hotel 81 and Fragrance Hotel.

So now can you see why I feel like the grafitti's placed there??

The Starbucks Signpost

Week 12 - The Starbucks Sign

This was one of the first few photos I took with my powershot! I've been taking lots of photos but I don't think I'll post all. Most of them are on my flickr account.

Anyway this sign post is at the starbucks at Liat Towers. The day was kind of overcast. It just rained and it was a cold day.

Anyway I've been busy like crazy and I'm so so tired everytime I reach home, I couldn't be bothered to go online. D:

11/52 - Pink Morning!

I got impatient yesterday and called the dude to see if I can get my baby that day and he said yes! So at 4:30 PM I officially own her! Now for a name.. any ideas?

Anyway, I brought her out yesterday evening cos I brought my baby sis to the pool and took some shots. But I'll post that later on.

For now here's my Photo for the week using my new camera!

Week 11 - Pink Morning!

Its of course edited, so here's the original,

Pink Morning Out Take 1

And an out take,

IPink Morning Out Take 3

PS: I stole the Hello Kitty Blankie from my baby sister. Its just soo soft and fluffy!

10/52 Do You Look Up?

yWeek 10 - Do You Look Up?

This is one shot I just took without thinking. I know its not really sharp cos I used a camera phone. But I took it cos I happened to look up while waiting to cross the traffic light From Cathay to McDonald House and saw how daylight gave way to night.

I know it doesnt really capture the vividness I saw. Anyway this photo's completely unprocessed cos any editing I did, didn't allow the colours to come through.

Anyway, try it sometimes. Look up at the sky. We're often too busy to do that.

9/52 My Rose Ring in Black and White

Week 9 - My Rose Ring

Ok there's my rose ring in black and white. I love the shadows.

I'm feeling kind of dissatisfied and stunted with what I've been doing latelty for my Project 52. I need inspiration! Maybe its time to take it to the streets???

I just need to own MY OWN camera and not one where its partially paid by me and my dad. Grr. I hate it when he hides it from me! IT'S MINE TOO! Partially.

Saving for a DSLR. Hehe Or a Canon Poweshot. Wait till I get one and I'll rub it in his face. He wants to be petty so shall I! I have more right to be petty at 20 compared to his 49 years.

(Jan think of LENT!)

8/52 - Breakfast

I made breakfast today!

Week 8 - Breakfast

Its garlic toast and tea for me! Breakfast good, no breakfast, not good. I've been thinking of drinking milk or juce for breakfast lately but kicking my caffeine habit is going to be a bitch and I scrapped that thought immediately.

Once again C&C! :D

7/52 Branches

I seem to prefer lots of outdoor landscape shots. Anyway this is at moberly again. According to my lecturers the trees there are over 50 years old. Way older than the school. Dating back to World War II apparently.

Once again C&C! :D

6/52 My Agenda

It's been a week full of ups and downs.

My life's like that sometimes. Or that's what's like to be in my head.

Excitements, good and bad. Emotions, up and down. No one can say I'm apathetic.

Week 6 - My Agenda

One of the worries is that I'll fail in my Project 52. But here is week 6 just in time.

This week was crazy and all I want to do, as rule #32 in Zombieland states, Enjoy the Little Things, after attending a funeral, trying to comfort Mr. Wonderful when I've got tests and exam papers coming up.
It was even harder for me to concentrate when I saw the depth of Mr. Wonderful's grief upon losing a wonderful uncle who I guess was one of the father figures he had when growing up. I'm thankful for his Uncle to have influenced such a man into becoming my Mr. Wonderful and I pray that he's at peace right now watching over the family he left behind.

But Mr. Wonderful, instead of letting me comfort him tells me to focus first on studying. That I shall try but the the worry in my head over him will be constantly in my mind.

5/52 The Swing and The Park Bench

I love my school. Its an old school rich with history and prestige.

And there are a few places I love to just sit and relax. A great place is the student hub @ moberly.

It used to be this old army barrack back in the 1940s-50s and if stay overnight at Moberly to study (they run the study room overnight during exams) you might just hear the footsteps of the patrolling British soldier.

Reason why I love it.

Its outdoors. A great way to soak up the heat after being in a classroom or lecture theatre for hours.

Its really old trees provide wonderful shade.

They play the radio through speakers disguised as rocks scattered around the area. I still crack up with that novel idea.

And Moberly itself is really cool! (Rayman Raving Rabbids anyone? Yes my school has Wii)

The Swing and The Bench

This photo was taken outdoors beside the Moberly building itself. They recently added the swing and its near to the usual bench where I like to seat to soak up some heat.

Tell me what you think?? Not really happy with the editing I did tho.

4/52 Boat Quay

Week 4 of Project 52 is up! The last for January.

This week's photo is of Boat Quay through sepia glasses.

Week 4 - Boat Quay

Or you can say Boat Quay through endless photo editing. This is definitely one of my favourite.

If I had it my way all my photographs for Project 52 will turn out like this. But that'd be boring wouldn't it? And that would also not let me improve myself.

Boat Quay Original

And this here is the original photograph.

Oh and its only week 4 and I'm running out of ideas?! A little help yea? Throw in a few suggestions to the comment box below!

My mood chart

Mood: Getting happy

I kinda realise I have a mood pattern. And to not waste words, I drew up a chart.

Mood Chart

Hmm.. guess what drives this chart??

If you guessed, Mr Wonderful you're right. D:
I'm kinda pathetic huh?

Anyway, I'll set aside the chart to deliberate on another day.

So at the suggestion of two person who viewed and commented on Week 3's Project 52, I did some adjustment and came with two other versions of it.
Week 3 - Curves 1 with no light

So this one is much darker with higher contrast.

Week 3 - Curves 1 with light

And this one using above with the light leak and I made the light more reddish. Hmm.
Tell me what you all think k? :D

3/52 Curves

or the lack of it.

Week 3 - Curves

Black and White for obvious reasons. I have not-so-nice skin thanks to a bout of measles back when I was still young.

Once again, really grainy photo. Sigh. This time taken with Mr. Wonderful's 8 Megapixel camera that has NO MANUAL Shooting mode. Best photo of the lot. Its hard to shoot your own back.

When am I gonna get the Canon Powershot G11?!?!

Anyway experimented with light leaks. I think its abit too pinkish but hey, I love pink!

Comments are much greatly appreciated!

2/52 Me and Charlie

So here's Week 2 of Project 52.

A self-portrait of me and Charlie the guitar. Now if Mr. Wonderful found out I christened his guitar as Charlie, I'm pretty sure he won't be happy with it. Well too bad. CHARLIE's been staying with me for quite some time already. Anyway don't you think the guitar looks like a Charlie?
